Please welcome Bryce Dolan to Clay County Medical Center! Bryce serves as our Marketing, Communications, and Foundation Director. He and his wife, Maggie, have a daughter named Maelie. The Dolans also have two dogs, Kona and Daisy.
Bryce earned a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcasting, Marketing, and Management from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Throughout his career, he has served as a Media Analyst at Mercy Refugee House in Seattle, Washington; News Director at KFRM and KCLY in Clay Center, Kansas; and most recently as the Marketing and Fundraising Director at KSDS Assistance Dogs, Inc. in Washington, Kansas.
In his free time, Bryce enjoys running, kayaking, and spending time with his family. The Dolan family loves the outdoors and being on the water. In 2021, Bryce earned his scuba diving certification at Beaver Lake, Arkansas, alongside members of the Geary County Search and Rescue Team. He is also an avid runner and has trained for trail races across the country.
When asked why he wanted to join Clay County Medical Center, Bryce shared:
"Maggie and I first moved to Kansas in the summer of 2017 after I accepted a job at the radio station. Before making the move, Kyle Bauer and Rocky Downing showed us around the Clay Center community. I vividly remember Kyle boasting about the hospital and how CCMC had just completed a major renovation and construction project. Growing up in a rural community, I understood the importance of a modern, well-kept medical facility.
Fast forward a few years and we were all navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. Working closely with the hospital during that time as news director, I was extremely impressed by how well CCMC responded under the leadership of Austin Gillard, and that adaptability continues to be evident today. It is apparent with the local focus on mental health and the expansion of services throughout the region.
Additionally, our daughter Maelie was born at CCMC in February 2020, and our experience was fantastic. From Dr. Lohrmeyer to the nursing and support staff and the birthing center itself, we truly enjoyed the experience. Witnessing Clay County Medical Center continue to flourish in Clay Center and the surrounding communities is why I wanted to be part of the team."
