Welcome Our New Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Please help us welcome Mindy Lovendahl, FNP-C, to the Clay County Medical Center team! Mindy serves patients at Clay Center Family Physicians and Riley Family Physicians.

Mindy Lovendahl, FNP-C

Mindy is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 11 years of experience as a primary care provider. Prior to joining Clay County Medical Center, she practiced at COMCARE in Salina, Kansas.

She began her nursing education by earning her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from North Central Kansas Technical College before completing her Registered Nurse (RN) degree at Cloud County Community College. Mindy then earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Tabor College and went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Fort Hays State University.

Originally from Clay Center, Mindy is excited to return to her hometown community. She and her husband, Jason, have two sons, Jakob and Jaxon, and are looking forward to being closer to family while serving the community they call home.

When asked what inspired her to pursue a career in nursing, Mindy shared:

"My grandmother was a nurse and my inspiration for becoming a nurse. After working as a nurse for about seven years, I wanted to be more involved in patient care and take a more collaborative approach while staying in the nursing profession. Becoming a nurse practitioner made that goal a reality. I have now been in the nursing field for almost 25 years, and I love every minute of it."

Clay County Medical Center is excited to welcome Mindy to the team and looks forward to the compassionate, high-quality care she will provide to patients throughout the region.
