Clay County Medical Center CEO Elected to Kansas Hospital Association Board of Directors

Clay County Medical Center (CCMC) is proud to announce that Chief Executive Officer Austin Gillard, FACHE, has been elected to serve on the Kansas Hospital Association (KHA) Board of Directors.

The Kansas Hospital Association represents hospitals and health systems across the state, advocating for policies and initiatives that strengthen healthcare delivery, improve patient outcomes, and support communities throughout Kansas. The Board of Directors is composed of healthcare leaders from member hospitals who work together to guide the association’s mission and strategic priorities.

Gillard has served as CEO of Clay County Medical Center since 2015 and brings more than a decade of healthcare leadership experience to the role. During his tenure, CCMC has expanded specialty care services, invested in facility improvements, and strengthened partnerships that improve access to healthcare across north-central Kansas.

“It’s an honor to be elected to the Kansas Hospital Association Board of Directors,” said Gillard. “I look forward to representing Clay County Medical Center and working alongside other healthcare leaders to ensure that hospitals across Kansas continue to provide high-quality, accessible care for the communities we serve.”

As a member of the KHA Board of Directors, Gillard will help shape statewide healthcare initiatives, advocate for hospitals at the state and federal levels, and support efforts that encourage innovation, collaboration, and long-term sustainability across Kansas healthcare systems.

This appointment reflects both Gillard’s leadership within the healthcare industry and Clay County Medical Center’s ongoing commitment to advancing healthcare in rural Kansas.
