Clay County Medical Center is pleased to welcome Danielle Wurtz, DO, to its medical staff. Dr. Wurtz began seeing patients at Clay Center, Linn, and Glasco Family Physicians in December.

With more than eight years of experience in primary care, Dr. Wurtz is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine who is passionate about preventive care, obstetrics, and caring for families throughout every stage of life. She earned her medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado, and completed her residency training at Wesley Family Medicine in Wichita, Kansas.
“I was drawn to medicine later in my education,” Dr. Wurtz shared. “While I initially planned to pursue a career in biochemistry, I realized I needed a more personal connection with my work. That’s when I discovered my passion for primary care, and it has been my calling ever since. Every day, I’m motivated by the opportunity to empower patients and build strong, trusting relationships.”
Originally from Barnes, Kansas, Dr. Wurtz graduated from Linn High School. She is the daughter of Nikolas and Melodie Sedivy and is married to Seth Wurtz, who grew up in Clifton, Kansas. Together they have three children: Clara, Isaac, and Abel.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Wurtz to our team,” said Austin Gillard, CEO of Clay County Medical Center. “Her commitment to patient-centered care and dedication to community health align perfectly with our mission of providing quality, compassionate care.”
Dr. Wurtz’s experience, commitment to preventive medicine, and passion for caring for families make her a valuable addition to the medical team. Clay County Medical Center is excited to offer patients the opportunity to establish care with a provider who is deeply connected to the communities she serves.
