The recognition is based on results from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, which measures patient experiences and perceptions of care. Survey data used for this rating was collected between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024.

“This recognition is a direct reflection of the pride and dedication our staff take every single day to ensure Clay County Medical Center provides a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for our patients,” said Austin Gillard, CEO of Clay County Medical Center.

Nationally, CCMC’s 5-star rating places it among the top 6% of hospitals for cleanliness, alongside some of the country’s most respected healthcare organizations. The recognition demonstrates that patients in rural Kansas can receive care in an environment that meets the highest standards of quality and patient satisfaction.

“This isn’t just about cleanliness—it’s about patient trust, safety, and peace of mind,” said Heather Robinson, Environmental Services Director. “We are proud to show that CCMC can achieve the same level of excellence as some of the most well-known hospitals in America.”

The recognition reinforces Clay County Medical Center’s commitment to providing exceptional patient experiences and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone who enters its doors.
