The recognition is based on results from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, a nationally standardized survey that measures patients’ perceptions of their hospital care. The most recent results were compiled from patient surveys collected between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024.

CCMC joins several highly regarded healthcare organizations across Kansas that received the same distinction, reflecting the hospital’s commitment to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

“This recognition reflects the dedication of our entire team to providing a safe, welcoming, and clean environment for every patient who walks through our doors,” said Austin Gillard, CEO of Clay County Medical Center. “Cleanliness is a key part of the patient experience, and we are proud to be recognized alongside some of the best hospitals in the state.”

The CMS 5-star rating system helps patients compare hospitals based on key measures of quality and patient satisfaction. Hospital cleanliness is an important component of the patient experience and plays a significant role in promoting trust, comfort, and confidence in care.

Clay County Medical Center remains committed to delivering exceptional healthcare experiences and maintaining the highest standards of quality for the communities it serves.
