Employee Benefits

At Clay County Medical Center, we are committed to supporting our employees both professionally and personally. We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to promote health, financial well-being, career growth, and work-life balance.

Time Off Paid (TOP)

Our Time Off Paid (TOP) program allows employees to accrue paid time off for vacation, personal time, illness, and holidays.

How TOP Works:

  • TOP is accrued for every hour worked.

  • Accrual rates are based on employment status and years of service.

  • There is no waiting period; TOP can be used as it is earned.

Accrual Schedule for Full-Time Team Members:

  • 1–5 Years of Service: 176 hours per year

  • 6–14 Years of Service: 215 hours per year

  • 15+ Years of Service: 239 hours per year

Extended Medical Leave (EML)

The Extended Medical Leave (EML) program provides hospital-sponsored short-term disability coverage during qualifying illnesses, hospitalizations, and eligible FMLA events.

EML Benefits

  • Accrual is based on employment status and hours worked.

  • Full-time employees earn 72 hours per year.

  • A three-day (24 scheduled work hour) elimination period applies before benefits begin.

Employees working qualifying evening and night shifts receive additional compensation.

  • Evening Shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.): 7% shift differential

  • Night Shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.): 19% shift differential
