Baked Apple
What better way to start a cool, crisp Fall morning than
with a baked apple! Kids and adults alike will love this for breakfast
or any time of day.

medium apple, washed, not peeled |

Tbsp brown sugar |

1
Tbsp raisins |

1 tsp margarine |
| • |

sprinkle cinnamon |

Cut out the core of the apple. With a peeler, pare the skin from around
the top of the apple. |

Put the apple
in a small microwave dish. |
 |
Put the brown
sugar and raisins in the center of the apple. |
 |
Top with margarine.
Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon. |
 |
Cook uncovered
in a microwave oven for 2 - 2 1/2 minutes on high or until the apple
is almost tender when stuck with a fork. Let stand 5 minutes. |
 |
Serve with a
toasted whole-grain waffle cut in quarters. |
