One of the reasons Clay County Medical Center has become the health care provider of choice for so many, is that we work well together as a team. Every staff member at Clay County Medical Center wears a name tag. If you are ever uncertain, we encourage you to ask staff members to show you their badges and explain what they do. When in doubt, call a nurse.

Your admitting physician may call on one of the specialists who serve our Outpatient Clinic, surgeons, or any one of the many professionals in our facility. Some of the people you’re likely to meet here are:

Located in the east wing of the hospital. Cardiac rehabilitation can reduce a patient’s risk of cardiovascular disease through a medically supervised program.

Clay County Medical Center welcomes and respects people of all spiritual traditions. Regardless of your religious preference, you and your family can call on a chaplain or spiritual counselor for support.

Registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) work with you and your physicians to make sure your care needs are met and doctor’s orders are followed.

Certified nursing assistants (CNAs) have received training in basic nursing tasks such as personal care and blood pressure monitoring. They help RNs and LPNs.

Clay County Medical Center has a team of physicians second to none in the Clay County area. Cooperation among Physicians (MDs), Physicians Assistants (PAs), Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARNPs) and other members of your health care team ensures you receive the best possible care.

The respiratory staff is committed to excellence in patient care by maintaining the highest performance standards and utilizing cost efficient state-of-the art technologies. The services are provided twenty-four (24) hours a day. The types of respiratory therapy care include: inpatients, outpatients and home care oxygen to citizens in the community.

You may meet various Laboratory, Radiology, and support personnel during your stay. They administer
diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, CTs and ultrasounds to help physicians and nurses monitor your response to treatment.

Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy are provided at Clay County Medical Center. Our team of professionals work to restore optimal function after accident or illness.
