The primary goal of the Laboratory is to provide quality care to the patients that we serve. We are devoted to providing accurate test results in a timely fashion to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. The Laboratory Department undergoes a comprehensive inspection every two years by the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.

SERVICES:

• Immunohematology and Transfusion Services
• Clinical Chemistry
• Toxicology & Therapeutic Drug Monitoring
• Hematology
• Coagulation
• Urinalysis
• Clinical Microscopy
• Serology to include rapid HIV testing
• Microbiology is limited to rapid testing for certain communicable diseases. Specimens for Microbiology are sent out to Laboratory Corporation of America who performs the identification and susceptibility testing.
• Pathology services are provided by Peterson Laboratory Services.

Four Medical Technologists, three Medical Laboratory Technicians, and a Phlebotomist currently staff the Laboratory.

The Laboratory is open 16 hours a day, Monday to Friday, (on-call after 10:30 p.m.) and 8 hours on weekends and holidays (on-call after 2:00 p.m.).
