After a comprehensive search process, the Board of Trustees of Clay County Medical Center has chosen Austin M. Gillard, MHA as the organization's next Chief Executive Officer. Gillard will succeed Bob Mullen, interim CEO.
"Austin is the best choice from a deep pool of interested and highly qualified candidates," said Lori Penner, President of the Board. “He has had six years of successful leadership experience in the healthcare industry, the most recent as CEO for a critical access hospital in Genoa, NE. We're delighted that he's accepted the position."
The exact start date is yet to be determined pending completion of duties in Genoa. Austin and his wife Michelle are looking for a home and will make the move to Clay Center in the very near future.
