Hospice Quilt Dedication

I think I've accomplished closure on a lot of deaths I witnessed over the years. Somewhere along the way while stitching I made an error in counting. Unable to find the error I continued and realized that from a distance my tree looks like the others. But I know it's unique. As unique as those I cared for and lost along the way. Each stitch is in memory of the average of one patient that died each day I worked for 16 years.(approx. 6,000) as a nurse. And the memories recalled are for those family members we've lost along the way. Grandpa A., Grandma A., Doc and Lyn. Thank you for the opportunity to work on this loving project.

AND OUT OF THE GROUND MADE THE LORD GOD
TO GROW EVERY TREE THAT IS PLEASANT TO THE SIGHT,
AND GOOD FOR FOOD, THE TREE OF LIFE ALSO IN THE MIDST OF THE GARDEN,
AND THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL
