| I am a Cancer Survivor. When I read in my local
paper about the Hospice Quilt, I knew I wanted to participate in this project.
It's my way of doing something for others suffering from cancer. Three years ago
I was told I had ovarian cancer. At first I was shocked and angry. After I accepted
it, I knew I wasn't ready to leave this world. After many prayers asking God to
help me I made a promise to myself. Enjoy each day and do something useful for
someone. Since then, I'm enjoying doing what I love most, making quilts. I
love the challenge of trying new quilt patterns - I guess that's why I enjoyed
this hospice quilt so much. What a challenge it has been, I'll always remember
this quilt and why I was doing it. Thanks for letting
me be a part of the Hospice Quilt Project. I thank God that he has given me this
time to help others and to do what I like to do most. Clara
