Meadowlark Hospice Home
Hospice Quilt Dedication

The Eagle I dedicate to the memory of my father, James Ronald Elliot, who went to be with the lord on May 16th of 1996.

Ron loved the outdoors and everything to do with it. He loved to have fun and enjoyed his life to the fullest. He was a loving and caring father to myself and my brother and worked at many jobs providing for us. He read numerous books and used to hunt, fish and tend to his garden that was mostly given away to friends. His time was also given to friends and his grandsons who loved him and still miss him.

It is hard to believe that 5 years has almost gone since he left us and they say time heals all wounds but I can still see him sitting in his chair and either watching some sport show or reading. He would always take an interest in what either my Mother or I were currently working on in fancy work and would always want to see it when it was completed.

I will see you again "Daddy Pop" and when I do I will be searching in your pockets for the Jelly Tots that you use to have for us when we were kids. I miss you so much and cannot wait until I can be held in your arms again but will skip sitting on your lap as I am a little heavy for that now. Take care and I will see you again. Love ya Daddy Pop.

We do not have hospice around here but we do have VON and we used them when he took sick and they were a blessing to have to help out.

BUT THEY THAT WAIT UPON THE LORD
SHALL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH.
THEY SHALL MOUNT UP WITH WINGS AS EAGLES.
THEY SHALL RUN AND NOT BE WEARY,
AND THEY SHALL WALK AND NOT FAINT.
