If there are truly angels on earth, which I firmly believe, then my sister Patty is one of them. When Patty was first diagnosed with breast cancer, over two years ago, our entire family was devastated. The person who showed us the courage and strength required to deal with this illness was Patty herself. She never once complained through her monthly chemotherapy treatments, to her everyday radiation treatments for five weeks. Through it all she remained cheerful and upbeat, never giving in to the depression that can easily occur when dealing with a life-threatening illness. Instead of our comforting her, she comforted us many times over.

How did Patricia Rapisarda come-by such courage and joy of life? It is easy to see when I tell you that Patty always sees the sunny side of life. Her laughter is infectious, her intelligence keen, and her personality bubbling over with love of life and what it has to offer. She can find the good in any of life's obstacles. I have never heard her say a mean thing about anyone. She truly sees the world through the eyes of an angel. It is no wonder that her life is filled with friends and family who love her and pray for her. She has been cancer free for over two years and I know my sister's will and spirit and her undying belief in God will keep her safe. I have often said that if Patty met the devil, she would be sure to find something positive in him. He would be powerless before her natural goodness. How lucky I am to have her as a sister and a friend!
