Benefits Information
Clay County Medical Center (CCMC) offers a wide variety of benefits to our employees. They include vacation (PTO) and sick time (ESL), Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, 403(b), and many more. Below is a more complete list of offered benefits.

Paid Time Off (PTO)
PTO is accrued on each hour.  Accrual is based on employment status and years of service. Full-time with 1 to 4 years of service earn 150 hours per year to be used for holidays, sick days, personal time, and vacation days. PTO increases to 190 hours following 4 years of service, and up to 230 hours or more than 5 weeks following 19 years of full-time service.

Extended Sick Leave (ESL)
ESL is considered a hospital sponsored short term disability to be used in the event of personal illness, qualifying FMLA event, or hospitalization. Accrual is based on employment status and number of hours worked. Full-time earn 72 hours per year. ESL has a two day or 16 hour elimination period prior to use.

Shift Differential
All departments required to work evenings and nights are paid a shift differential.  7% of base pay is paid to those required to work the evening shift (3P-11P).  19% of base pay is paid to those required to work the night shift (11P-7A).  Those working 12-hour shifts are averaged with 2.3% paid for 7A-7P and 15% paid for the 7P-7A shift.

Holiday Pay
Pay for working a holiday is time and one half of your normal base pay.  Hospital recognized holidays are: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. 

Tuition Reimbursement
Full-time employees can receive up to $5,000 a year in tuition assistance. Part-time employees can receive up to $2,500 a year in tuition assistance.  Employees are eligible after six months of employment. 

Scholarships
Clay County Medical Center is dedicated to assisting interested and devoted individuals in pursuing a career in a healthcare related field of study. We offer up to $5,000 a year in scholarship opportunities.  

Medical Insurance
Multiple plans allow you to tailor your coverage to your personal and family needs. We have a PPO plan with an in-network deductible of $1,500. There is also a high-deductible health plan with a Health Savings Account available. Prescription coverage is included with the Medical insurance plans.  These are available to full or part-time employees.  CCMC pays a percentage of the premium on all of the four levels of coverage:  single, employee/spouse, employee/child, and family.

Dental Insurance
Dental coverage is separate from medical coverage and is available to full and part-time employees. CCMC pays a percentage of the monthly premium and offers four levels of coverage: single, employee/spouse, employee/child, and family.

Vision Insurance
CCMC offers a voluntary vision plan to full and part-time employees to meet their family's eye care needs.

Flexible Spending Accounts
Unreimbursed Medical Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Health Savings Account (HSA), available only to those enrolled in the high deductible health plan.
Dependent Care Account

Life Insurance
The hospital provides $10,000 of term life insurance and $10,000 of AD&D coverage for all Full-time and Part-time employees who work 40 or more hours per pay period. Additional supplemental coverage can be purchased for the employee and their dependents.  Additional voluntary insurance may be purchased by the employee for themselves or their entire family.

Disability Insurance
The hospital offers short-term or long-term disability to both full and part-time employees. Premium costs are based upon employee's age and annual income.

Retirement Plan
Employees can voluntarily contribute to tax-sheltered pre-tax and Roth 403(b) and 457 annuities. CCMC contributes 3.5% of an eligible employee's gross into a retirement account each payroll.

Mark A. Chapman Wellness Center
All Full-time, Part-time & Regular Relief employees and their immediate family members are provided free membership.

Scrubs Provided
Scrubs are provided and laundered in-house for all employees who work in a patient care area.
