Course
Description
A brief overview of neonatal resuscitation principles is given at the beginning of the course. This course will consist of a written test and a mega-code testing station.

Prerequisite
It is required that you review "Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 5th edition, prior to attendance of the class. 2006 Guidelines will be used.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this continuing medical education activity, participants should be able to:
- Compare and contrast primary and secondary apnea and state appropriate interventions for each.
- Perform initial steps in resuscitation, make correct decisions and take appropriate actions properly.
- Demonstrate correct bag and mask ventilation
- Develop skills in performing infant intubation.
- Identify the specific indications for and major physiological effects of emergency meds used in neonatal resuscitation.

Class size is limited.
Course participants may choose to use online testing (for a fee) to complete the written evaluation portion of the course. However, participants must identify an instructor willing to provide performance evaluation prior to taking the online evaluation.
