Welcome and Thank-You

Foundation members, you should be proud of your accomplishments. Your 11 years of commitment has resulted in over a 1/2 million dollars in contributions to our community healthcare system. As a result of your efforts, the quality of patient care has improved. In 1993, Foundation members contributed $380,000 to the medical clinic, which has been a key factor in retaining a strong medical staff - The Clay Center Family Physicians.

More recently, you met the challenge to raise $90,000 for construction of an Outpatient Clinic. Today the Outpatient Clinic has 11 visiting doctors specializing in Cardiology, Ear-Nose-Throat, Hematology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, and Urology. Each year, both the Clay Center Family Physicians and the Outpatient Clinic save thousands of miles of patient travel as well as lost wages. Most importantly, more quality healthcare options are available to the community.

The Hospital Trustees and the Hospital Foundation realize that uncertainty still surrounds healthcare. As was the case in the late eighties and early nineties, it is vital that we have a strong Hospital Foundation in place in order to strengthen and preserve our community healthcare system for the future.

If ever you have questioned your involvement in the Clay County Hospital Foundation or the role of the Foundation, consider these statements from CCH Foundation Board Members:

What started with just 72 members, 11 years ago, is now an organization of over 300 members united to continue a mission of securing voluntary gift support for the community health system. You are all a central part of one of the most vital organizations in our community. An organization that preserves community healthcare - The Clay County Hospital Foundation.
