- Minutes, of the 9-29-00 meeting were approved.
- Lori Penner presented the Clay County Medical Center Scholarship Committee
report. The following individuals were recommended for scholarships:
Crystal Segers, $1,000, Dana Bartley, $1,000, Laurie McMillin, $1,000
and Deb Craig $1,000. The applicants and amounts were approved as recommended.
A proposed policy and procedure, for Certified Nurse Aide (C.N.A.) scholarships
was submitted. The policy and procedure was approved as proposed. It
provides for up to $200 per applicant.
- The accounts to be sent for collection were reviewed and approved.
- Chairman Jeff Yarrow and Ron Bender reported on a planning meeting
they had on September 5 with County Board Chairman Jerry Mayo and County
Health Department director Dana Rickley. The County's grant application
has been submitted and building options continue to be discussed. Rental
rates for the space being used by County Health was also discussed.
A continuing follow-up meeting will be held in October after the County
knows if they have received the grant.
- Ron Bender presented a bid from Bloom Construction to install a 30-foot
x 12-foot awning roof joining the east wall of the dining area. This
project will cover the concrete patio area and reduce glare and heat
in the dinning room. The bid was approved.
- Ron Bender reported that Don Marrs, architect of Salina has been contacted
to assist in the elevator installation project. He has been here and
inspected the area. He also reviewed the preliminary planning information
from the hospital. He will provide a proposal for the project.
- The board decided to hold only one meeting in October on the 17th
at 8p.m.
