Runners and walkers from as far away as Enid, Oklahoma, participated in Clay County Medical Center's Kick Off To Summer run on Saturday, May 18th.  The race began at 9:05 a.m. and was followed by an awards ceremony at 10:30 a.m.  

Derek Miller of Fort Riley won the 10K race with a time of 37:12.  In the women's division, Cindy Zumbrunn won with a time of 49:15. Derek Miller of Fort Riley also won the men's 5K division with a time of 18:16, just five seconds off his winning time of 18:11 last year. In the women's 5K division, Rachael Greenlee of Clay Center won with a time of 27:50.
