The
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter of Wakefield
High School donated $200 to the the new Family Birthing Center at Clay County
Medical Center as part of their annual community service project.
Each
year club members raise funds through sales of various products and the
proceeds from the product sales are donated to an organization that serves
the community.
The
FCCLA members and their Advisor, Mrs. Abel, visited the Family Birthing
Center to present the money and take a tour of the new facility. The top
fundraiser, Hanna Lewis, made the presentation to Clay County Medical
Center RN, Mary Jo Wurtz.
Other
members of FCCLA that were present, were Noelle Krchma, Constance Thooft,
Suzie Helms, Jessi Umschied, Zac Cannizo, and project chairperson, Blair
Mohler.
