Mobile Simulation Unit
For its first clinical session, the University of South Dakota mobile simulation unit is in Clay Center today, June 1st, from 8am-4pm. The students involved are going to participate in an “IV skills” refresher training in the morning and will participate in a simulation with a pediatric manikin simulator in the afternoon.
The University of South Dakota Distance Nursing programs summer session for outreach students in North Central, Kansas started May 14, 2012 and is going well. The simulation unit has traveled to several locations and was in Alliance, Nebraska prior to Clay Center.
In an agreement between Clay County Medical Center and the University of South Dakota, Teresa Pearson, RN BSN and Nicci Estes, RN BSN from CCMC will be teaching clinical for seven of these students at Clay County Medical Center.
