LEXISCAN INJECTION AVAILABLE AT CCMC

Through our relationship with Dr. Meyer and Cotton O’Neill, the cardiac rehab department at Clay County Medical Center now offers the Lexiscan Injection.

Many patients undergoing cardiac stress tests are unable to exercise adequately because of medical conditions. For these patients, a pharmacological stress test is induced through an injection called Lexiscan.  This test mimics the increase in coronary blood flow through the arteries caused by exercise.
Having the ability to offer this procedure locally is advantageous for those who previously had to drive to Topeka for this specialized service.
