Debbie Hedke

NEW DIRECTOR FOR MEADOWLARK HOSPICE
March 31, 2011

Debbie Hedke, RN BSN recently accepted the position as Director of Meadowlark Hospice for Clay County Medical Center. This program provides services for Clay County and the surrounding counties of Cloud, Marshall, Republic, Washington and Western Riley.

Debbie is a graduate of Washburn University and prior to being employed by Clay County Medical Center she worked for Home Health from 1987-1999.  During the last 5 years of her tenure, she served as Director of that organization.  Debbie has been a Registered Nurse Case Manager for Meadowlark Hospice for the past eleven years.  She has primarily served the Washington and Marshall county areas in that capacity. Additionally, Debbie has also served Clay County Medical Center as a Staff Nurse. 

Ron Bender, CEO stated, “Hospice is a service which provides comprehensive care for someone with a life limiting illness. We are delighted to have Debbie lead our Meadowlark Hospice Program. Her leadership ability and caring attitude made her the ideal candidate for this position. Her background has provided her with valuable experience in dealing with pain management and end of life issues.”
