Patient Celebrates 100th Birthday!

Irene Peterson celebrated her 100th birthday while being a patient at Clay County Medical Center. She took the day in stride and didn’t seem to be nearly as impressed with reaching the milestone of 100 years as everyone else.

In honor of the occasion, Irene received a beautiful vase of roses and birthday gifts from her family, which included her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hospital staff visited her room and sang their best rendition of “Happy Birthday”!   Irene received a slice of cake with a candle on her lunch tray.
