Clay County Medical Center's Mission:
EMERGENCY ENTRANCE CHANGES
In an effort to serve our patients more efficiently, access to the emergency department will be through the outpatient clinic entrance on the west side of the hospital. This entrance will be used 24/7.
Implementation of this change will provide a much smoother admission process and allow our staff to more efficiently manage the flow of patients needing to see a physician. On occasion, it may be necessary to limit the number of people who can accompany a patient to the treatment area. This change will provide a more comfortable area for family members who are waiting and enhance security for our patients and staff.
The ER bay will only be accessible to authorized vehicles. If arriving by private vehicle, please call 785-632-2144 so nursing staff may anticipate your arrival and offer any assistance you might require. We appreciate your cooperation as we make this change.
ADMISSIONS AND DISMISSALS WILL NO LONGER BE PUBLISHED
Beginning March 1st, patient admissions and dismissals will no longer be published in the newspaper or on the hospital’s website. This decision to follow federal regulations around security and privacy standards was made by the executive team of the hospital, supported by the board and should not reflect negatively upon our local newspaper.
