CEO INTERIM UPDATE
January 16, 2015

Rita Buurman’s time as interim CEO of the hospital was shorter than either she or the hospital board intended it to be. At a special meeting on January 11, 2015, Rita gave notice to the Clay County Hospital Board of Trustees that she won’t be able fulfill the obligations of the position due to complications of a recent surgery.  However, she has offered to remain a resource for the board to utilize as they search for a new CEO. VISITOR RESTRICTION AT CCMC

For the safety of our patients, employees and community, Clay County Medical Center is limiting visitors during the flu season.

Please limit visitors to immediate family.  No one under the age of sixteen is allowed at this time. 

Please wash your hands upon entering and leaving a patient room. Masks are available for your protection.

Visitors with flu-like symptoms are not permitted. Symptoms include fever, cough, body aches and sore throat. 

Thank you for helping to keep Clay County Medical Center safe.

How do I know if I have the flu?

You may have the flu if you have some or all of these symptoms:

  • fever*
  • cough
  • sore throat
  • runny or stuffy nose
  • body aches
  • headache
  • chills
  • fatigue
  • sometimes diarrhea and vomiting

*It's important to note that not everyone with flu will have a fever.
